Sleep like a baby...

Think about it... it means you sleep like crap because you wake up every two hours hungry and needing your diaper changed. I think I did sleep once. It was a long time ago, but I remember I liked it. My hips and back are killing me and I so feel the need for sleep but I just can not do it. I am positive it has nothing to do with my pooh pj's that have glowing moons and stars on them. It could be that thin girl inside me screaming to get out. I really thought that I had shut her up with that 3 lbs of fudge this weekend. Then the voices in my head are driving me crazy. The last time I told them shut up they gave me the silent treatment. That was really hard on me because you know I never pass up an opportunity to keep my mouth shut....LMBO!!

Random thought here as the TV is playing some moron griping about how much the military costs. I wonder if they have ever thought to thank a Vet for their right to b*tch...just curious.  It is so easy find humor in other people's stupidity.  Stupid people really should not breed.

The mute on the remote would not work on the kids today and facebook confirmed I was not the only one who has tried it before. Poor Blaine had some homework that had to do with the food groups and he thought there was just four - fast, frozen, instant and chocolate. You should have seen us trying to find pictures to cut and paste on his homework. The kids were bouncing off the walls today so I told them I would tie a towel around my neck like a cape and wear my granny panties over my pj bottoms and be a superhero for the evening. Laughter is my favorite sound in the whole world and of course Mike just said I would like to see that. Brittney said I could be wonder woman...oh how I love that child!

As I have grown older I have not lost friends but I have just found out who the real ones were. I am so glad you all know I am not special just a limited edition...So who is not busy this Friday night? Today as we are out and about in this rainy weather if you see someone without a smile, you should give them one of yours. May we all live in such a way that there will be no regrets when someone else follows in our footsteps.

Do you ever go to pray and you can not get to the prayers for all the praises because you are realizing all the things God has put in front of you that you have to keep thanking him for? The past few months I have realized that coincidences are just God's way of keeping anonymous. There's nothing in the universe, including your, that is not perfectly timed. Fate determines who enters our lives, but our actions decide who stays. It sounds funny but Mike and I have thanked God immensely for our mistakes because they are a great lesson when one is honest enough to admit them and willing to learn from them. It's not what we have been though that defines us, it's how we got through it. I have been thinking that people who make crazy decisions and say "You only live once!" are going to be surprised when they get to their next life in eternity... Please remember when Satan knocks on the door just say "Jesus can you get that for me?

Well I guess I am going to be productive and stop rambling as the voices in my head have calmed down some. I am going to go fold Mt. Washmore until the urge to sleep comes again.  Nah Nah Boo Boo Jennifer my laundry is going to be done as long as the power does not go off!!

This Mama makes pretty babies-

Since all of you that read this are my family and/or friends I have to share something with you.  I am in love with the most amazing man. His name is Jesus! Do you know him? If not you should give him a chance!

Happy Veterans Day!

Please remember to thank, hug, love a Vet today. We should remember to be thankful everyday as they do what the majority of us can not even begin to imagine or would even want to do. Be thankful for the services of our past and present Vets and the sacrifices they have made and continue to make!! If it were not for their sacrifices we would not be free to live our lives as we please. Always remember FREEDOM is NOT FREE!! God Bless YOU!!

Thank you Clyde Robertson - aka Pa, Lee Wallace - aka PawPaw, Uncle John Vance, Don Vance, Chuck Stanley, AB Fulp, Don Winters, Pat Daniels, Mike Hollifield, Carlton Idol, Charlie Yates,  and all those names I can not recall at the moment!!

Did you miss me?

I have missed you all terribly. Last year was crazy but this year has been a whirlwind. The nursery had an awesome spring. In the spring I did as much as I did all last year which was amazing to me. The greenhouse kicked my butt and I learned so much that I am already preparing for next spring. It is going to be awesome!! Mike's business picked up in the spring and although we had to let go of some employees we are still hanging on by the grace of God. God really is good!! In fact he is so good that he frequently wraps his arm around my shoulder and puts his hand over my mouth!

One of the reasons I have not posted is b/c I know you all so look forward to my pictures and my camera has been broke for quite some time. Most of you know I got Brent a camera for Christmas last year, lost it and bought another one. Well guess what I found the one I had lost. It was sitting right in my closet that I had completely cleaned out last year right before Christmas... now is that not strange. So I hope to start sending you some pics really soon. I know you are just as excited as I am. I can not believe I missed telling you guys about the first day of school and our crazy summer. I took pics with my camera phone but my computer crashed and I lost everything. Well all is not completely lost as I was smart enough to use Mozy to back up my stuff online but I have not had to time to restore everything. Maybe next year I will get a new computer... this one works but my DVD roms do not work and part of the time the usb ports do not work...LOL!! Maybe Santa will bring me one. YEAH RIGHT!!

If I was not so pooped I would give you some cute stories from this summer but I do not feel like it right now. Although I will share one from last Friday with you really fast. Everyday as we pull through the car rider line the kids unbuckle and starting fighting over who is going to kiss me first and then who has kissed me more. This is my favorite time of the day. We were running behind and Brittney told Blaine how he could not be hugging her as she tried to turn to go to her class or she would be late. He said "But I have to love you bye." She started to have one of her fits and I said why don't you just give her a hug in the car now. So he leaned over to hug and kiss her as she was saying "I don't want to kiss you." So I learned how every morning as they are going to class he hugs her bye. Then that afternoon as I was pulling up to pick them up I saw them walking and Blaine was trying to hold his arm around Brittney as they were walking. It was the sweetest thing and of course she keep trying to knock his arm down. God really knows what is he is doing with kids as I believe he gives them to us to keep US in line... What do you think?

This past year has been a roller coaster for everyone and we are no different. The one thing that has really sank in with me is that normal is just the setting on a washing machine. Personally I hope this has brought more people closer to God. Mike & I want people to look back on the way we handled things and live our lives in such a way that those who know us but do not know God, will come to know God b/c they know us. We are living life to the fullest, trusting completely in God to get us through it, and knowing that at the end of the day what is meant to be will always find a way!! We have a huge testimony to share with everyone but now is not the time so I will leave you hanging on your seats. Don't you just love me!!

Let me finish by saying that I hope you personally know Jesus. My personal opinion is we are followers of Jesus and any church that teaches that our salvation is through Jesus Christ is what is important. I guess that is why I like the Moravian motto so much: "In essentials, unity, in non-essentials, liberty, in all things love." Please if you do not personally know Jesus pick any church (that follows Jesus) today and get to know him. You do not have to be perfect b/c Jesus was and at the end of every day everything is forgiven if all you do is ask. Enjoy life and work for the retirement that is out of this world!!

Here are few pics I actually have on my computer -

Blaine & Brittney at swimming lessons. They are doing great. Brittney is like a fish - she must take after her Mama.

I really wonder if Brittney was thinking about pushing him in this picture.

Can you imagine facebook when these two get older?

hanging out at the shop after school

Blaine upset b/c Brittney got to go fishing without him b/c he was ugly

Mike with his prize flounder caught over Labor Day Weekend

Please remember Mike's Paw Paw in your prayers as it has taken me all weekend to write this and as I finish tonight I learned earlie that they belive he had a stroke today. He has had a very rough year this past year.

Well I am off to bed. Please pray for my aching bones this week as this weather is killing me and I know how the power of prayer works!! Good Night!

Happy Memroial Day!!

Personally I do not think I have to worry about any of my family or friends not knowing how important this Holiday is. We must continue to remember all who have gave their lives for our freedoms and those who continue to. Since I was really lazy and slept until 9:30 this morning I did not make it to church. I feel so bad on the days I do not make it to church because I know what God has done for me. Luckily he is a forgiving God and even a bum like me is saved!! Now I just have to decide if we are going to go out on the boat with Mama & Daddy. The kids went yesterday and were exhausted last night or I would not have got to sleep late this morning. Actually the kids did not wake me up because they were still asleep when Mike woke us all up. I have lot of book work that I have got to get done but it would be nice to take a dip in the lake. In the long run I think it will come down to whether the kids clean up their mess or not. Hopefully they will since there is incentive there.

The pictures below are of Emily & Brent before the prom. The first one is of Brittney trying out the photo spot and it actually showed up much better with her than them...oh well!!

This is Bella with four of her babies. She has hid the fifth one somewhere and we can not find it. Actually she had hid two and we did manage to find the one in the kids closet. There are two orange like Tiger and three dark like her. I just thought this was so cute with the one sleeping under her paw.
We did not get to do Blaine's pinata at school until Friday b/c of EOG's.... aargh!! The kids had a blast though. Mr. Austin said he could not keep them quite while Lynn & I were outside hanging the pinata. This is the class singing Happy Birthday to Blaine while Mr. Austin plays the guitar.Mrs. Lynn Magyar is such a good assistant to climb up on the monkey bars to tie the pinata.
The kids running to do the pinata

Blaine gets to take the first whack
His buddy Austin taking a turn.
They let Blaine have a few more hits after everyone had their turns.
I had to delete a few pictures and missed Mr. Austin hitting which busted it in two, but you can see the kids stampeding for the candy.
I have the kids school pics that I want to get scanned to show you but I will do it another day.

Happy Mother's Day!!

We had a busy weekend at the nursery for Mother's Day. We will be fixing lunch for all the kids grandparents tomorrow. We get together many times a year but it is always nice to spend this special day each year with just the kids's grandparents. My Grandma even said she would drive out here tomorrow but I am hoping she will let Daddy give her a ride. I hope all of you enjoy your Mother's Day!! Enjoy the pictures I have been meaning to upload-

Below is Blaine having fun releasing the lady bugs in the greenhouse!!

Whoa! What a day!

Spring is here! People are ready for planting and we are ready for them. Today we had an awesome day at the nursery. We had good friends bring their kids and they dyed eggs and had an egg hunt. Mike was good at selling as always because he is like a walking encyclopedia on plants. I am going to have to make me flash cards so I can remember all that stuff on shrubs and trees. In my spare time next week I think I will do that. Yeah right!

I do have to vent to all my good friends and family though... Mike and I have really nice stuff at our nursery and we still are just not good enough for some people. Last fall I had a really snooty couple come in and look at my pansies. They then left my nursery and went to another "high class" nursery and bought the exact same thing. Do you want to know how I know it is the exact same thing? It is because we order from the same supplier as places like LA Reynolds and New Garden nursery but we just sale them at a more reasonable price. Some people just think that paying more at some high society place means it is better I guess. OK, now that I have said that I feel much better. Lord forgive me for being so ticked by this!

Well I am off to start doing my "EB" duties and get to bed so I can be at church by 6:15 in the AM. I hope you all have a Happy Easter and remember what Jesus did for us. If Jesus is not your Saviour, Easter would be a great time to ask Him to be!!!!!

Tulips

OK, I stopped on the way home from church and was not really prepared to get good pictures. I did not bring anything to sit in or on and the only spot Brittney found to sit was not the best for pictures. Enjoy!

Blaine was in the back of Brittney's first few photos b/c he kept telling me to take a picture of him pretending to plant a tree.
