Sick, sick go away

Brittney has had this nasty cough since Halloween when they put her on an antibiotic for an ear infection. Then on Christmas Eve I took her to the Dr. and they put her on an antibiotic for a sinus infection. Both times I carried her Blaine actually went too and was put on antibiotics for the opposite things but he gets better between them. The last time I carried Blaine to the Dr. they ended up sending Brittney for an Xray and put her on Omnicef for 15 days and I was told to contact them immediately if the cough did not clear up. She was also doing Flonase. Well her 15 days were up last Thursday and by Saturday night she was coughing all night again!! She is now on another 15 days of Omnicef, Flonase and Singular. We are praying this time she will get cleared up and could use your prayers too. We did not start the Omnicef until today because yesterday she was sick with a stomach bug. The fun never ends at our house. Blaine also got the stomach bug but for him it was much milder. It probably has to do with her immune system being so down from the antibiotics.

We have been busy working at the greenhouse and I am so excited to see everything growing. Brent does not like it but Brittney and Blaine want to go there everyday. The only problem is that it is very hard to get anything done with them there. So I try to get the majority of the work done while they are at school. Although now I am having a hard time keeping up with all the seeds coming up and the cuttings that need potting up. I have been very busy planting, praying, watering, praying, pinching and watering some more. If you are close enough please come by this spring to visit and bring a friend that wants to buy some flowers. ;} Maybe next week I will post some pictures.

Are you still there?

Well we are here but we have been busy and I have not been playing on the computer as much. Well the time I was playing was spent on facebook. I uploaded these pics 12/12/08 but never wrote anything so I will just tell you what they are. We have been busy getting our "stuff" growing for the nursery this year. I hope to write more on that later.

WHOA!! I am six years old

Opening presents on her birthday from parents and grandparents after we ate pizza. Brittney says that you have a birthday week not day. Blaine was more than happy to help her.

Ok, we saved the big cake for the birthday party but she still wanted to blow out candles. I am not sure which one of these two enjoyed the cupcake more.

I so wish you could appreciate this picture more. She was "the stuff" the next day wearing all her stuff to school. Yes I let her go to school not matching and wish I had got a better picture.

Or should I say dig it. We had a busy day today and Brittney and Blaine had a blast. We started the morning around 9am by getting the shovels (kid size) and wheel barrow at the nursery. We loaded the wheel barrow down with bulbs and headed to the bed on the side of the road where the nursery sign is. Our first goal was to remove all the dead annuals from spring and get a few weeds that had snuck into the sides of the bed. The kids worked hard at doing this. Then they got to do the fun part of digging the holes. It was amazing to see how much they could do with those little shovels. The wheel barrow maybe small but they overfilled it three times. When I would step in to help and finish getting the hole ready for the bulbs they would get so aggravated. At the end of the day we were all tired and we will now anxiously wait for spring to come and bring to us blooms of the crocus, hyacinth, daffodil and tulip bulbs we planted. Of course Mike wanted to know if we measured and made sure everything was right... well of course I stood back and the kids counted out the bulbs and tossed them in the hole. I assure you these will be some of the most beautiful flowers you have ever seen... if the squirrels do not discover them. Enjoy the pictures below!!

Break time...these were their second apples that Papa brought them. Apparently they gave them renewed energy. You will love this short video.

And if they didn't then their happy meals did, of course so much hard work deserves a happy meal!!

On a funny thought they kids should be settling in right now to watch the 9pm viewing of Madagascar 2 with Grammy & Papa. They went in their pajamas and I can see them now breaking out into to dance when the music starts. Have a good night and a wonderful day of worship tomorrow!!
